    “hardly ever….” Now that smarts.

One cannot, simply cannot, coin a term that has been in use for over 30 years.

    How very naive of you

I would have added Quartz Hill School of Theology as another fine example of unaccredited Bullsgeschichte…..

Silly, sad, lonely Richard and “Gerhard”, who evidently have nothing to do but criticize people they neither know nor could understand should they even try. A couple of examples of what sort of folk the internet drags out of the wordwork and gives a voice to- even though they really should just remain silent.

I have been in theological studies since 1974 and even then, “bullgeschichte” was one of the first biblical-scholar puns I ever heard. It isn’t nasty or bottom-feeding to point that out. Nobody knows who coined the term, but it was already a well-established part of my professors’ classroom banter even back then.

And it’s still a no-fail way to get a laugh in a Bible intro class to this day!
