Verse 8

• The verb, בָ֖את (Qal perfect 3fs), is from the root, בוא “go.”

Verse 9

• Notice the lexical (i.e. root) connection between וְהִתְעַנִּ֖י (v. 9) and תְּעַנֶּהָ (v.6).

Verse 10

• Infinitive absolute plus finite verb of same root (רבה) indicates superlative degree.

Verse 11

• The first word of the messenger’s quotation is הִנָּ֥ךְ (הנה + 3fs pronominal suffix).
• The divine proclamation of a birth and naming of the child commonly uses this form: וְיֹלַ֣דְתְּ בֵּ֑ן וְקָרָ֤את שְׁמוֹ֙ [      ] כִּֽי [       ].

Verse 12

• The meaning of the final clause, וְעַל־פְּנֵ֥י כָל־אֶחָ֖יו יִשְׁכֹּֽן, is somewhat obscure (cf. Gen 25:18).  “To settle against the face of all his brothers” probably indicates defiance, strife or animosity.
