…tells of God’s actions to deliver from slavery in . Along with wonderful and sweeping narratives surrounding ’s greatest prophet, Moses, is the presentation and ratification of the covenant document at Sinai. The events described herein are viewed as the paradigm of God’s redemption work by saving a people to be set apart as תהיו לי ממלכת כהנים וגוי קדוש “a kingdom of priests and a holy nation” (Exodus 19:6).
